Support for those who have served on the Line and for the families of the 19,707 named on the casualty rolls since 1811.
- PensionsClaim a casualty pensionFor the widow, the parents or the dependent children of a casualty on a published roll. Form W-7, no fee.
- RecordsFind a service recordEvery name on the rolls has a record at the Records Office, with the official date and cause.
- HonoursMedals and citationsThe Order of the Reed, the Star of the Wardens and the Line Medal. 1,174 decorations stand on the rolls.
- CommemorationVictory DayThe year's casualty roll is read at Victory Square on 19 June.
Service records and the rolls
The War Ministry publishes a roll of the fallen for every year since 1811. Each name links to the soldier's record: rank, regiment, the official date and cause of loss, decorations, and the next of kin entered in the register. Only the official date and cause are published, under the Press Act.

Pensions
A pension under the War Widows Act and the Pensions Act is paid to the next of kin at the rate for the rank, from the first quarter-day after the date of loss. Claims are determined in the name of the Minister of War, Jurgen Brenn.
Victory Day
Under The Victory Day Act, 19 June is a public holiday commemorating the holding of the Reed Line in 1812. A parade is held in Vellmar ending at Victory Square, and the War Ministry publishes the year's casualty roll on the eve of the holiday.
